Each study begins with a proposition. Through drawings, models, material investigations, spatial experiments, precedents, and written thought, the proposition is examined from multiple perspectives and allowed to evolve. The objective is not to arrive at an immediate answer, but to understand what an idea can become.

STUDIES makes the process of design visible: observation becomes research; research becomes concept; concept becomes method; method becomes space; and space becomes experience and reality.

It is the space between the question and the architecture.
